Beta Kappa Chapter The Tennessee State Organization
Beta Kappa Literacy Project
Beta Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma is a founding and sustaining partner of
the Imagination Library in Lincoln County and Marshall County. The Literacy Project for Lincoln will be to assist the Literacy Council during Fair Week at their information booth. The duties at the Fair booth will be registering children for the Imagination Library and providing information about GED classes, computer training, and college preparation. Members are also encouraged to tutor at the Literacy Council. Marshall County has electronic payroll deductions for the Imagination Library. Lincoln County teachers and retired Marshall County teachers will be donating in the spring of each year to help further the Imagination Library in each county. Beta Kappa Chapter is working on Imagination Library registration. The goal is to maintain 62% enrollment of the eligible children in Marshall and Lincoln Counties. "The Imagination Library of Lincoln County would like to partner with DKG to ensure that all pre-K students have books in the home." Teresa Brown. |
